Description

Malamado Malbec is a fortified red wine made from 100% Malbec grown in the Uco Valley, Mendoza. Its style combines the natural intensity of Argentina's flagship grape with a winemaking process designed to achieve concentration, sweetness, structure, and complexity.

The wine undergoes a classic 10-day fermentation with selected yeasts, using pump-overs, délestage, and pigeage, until reaching 122 g/L of residual sugar. It is then fortified with grape spirit and aged for 25 months in French oak barrels, adding depth, texture, and elegant tertiary characteristics developed during aging.

In the glass, it displays a medium-intensity purple-red color with light tawny reflections that reflect its time in oak. The nose reveals seductive aromas of ripe plums, black fruit preserves, dried figs, and nuts, complemented by delicate notes of cinnamon, toasted almonds, and leather.

On the palate, it is rich, complex, silky, and full-bodied, with sweet, pleasant tannins and a long, persistent finish. It is an ideal choice for those seeking an Argentine fortified wine with intensity, elegance, and character.
