Altos Las Hormigas Malbec Reserve 2022 represents the synthesis of meticulous work in Paraje Altamira and Gualtallary. Aged in foudres and concrete, with indigenous yeasts and minimal intervention, this wine expresses the texture of the soil, the natural tension of the fruit, and the mineral character of the calcareous soils of the Uco Valley.
"Deep red in color with magenta hues, the nose is complex and layered: raspberry, cassis, and plum blend with thyme, chamomile, jarilla, wet stone, graphite, and menthol. The palate is juicy and enveloping, with marked natural acidity, textured tannins, and a long finish that highlights chalky sensations and notes of red fruit, gunpowder, and native herbs. A precise, vibrant, and distinctive expression of high-altitude Malbec."
