Description
Score: 98 pts James Suckling
Matías Riccitelli Viñas Extremas Malbec – San Pablo 2022 is born in one of the coldest and most challenging areas of the Valle de Uco, in IG San Pablo, at 1,500 meters above sea level. Sourced from vineyards managed under an agroecological approach, without the use of herbicides or systemic products, this Malbec precisely expresses the extreme identity of its origin. The sandy-loam soils with calcareous gravel provide tension, freshness, and a marked mineral imprint.
"A powerful and deep Malbec with great complexity and character. It shows pure fruit, mountain energy, and a firm yet balanced structure. The natural freshness of San Pablo’s cold climate translates into a vertical, precise wine with remarkable persistence."
A mountain wine that is both intense and refined, faithfully reflecting the unique character of the San Pablo terroir and the spirit of the Viñas Extremas line: wines that push the expression of place to the limit.
