Description
This 100% Malbec comes from Finca Don Antonio – Block 41, located in Los Árboles, Tunuyán, Valle de Uco, at 1,200 meters above sea level. Crafted with precision and a strong sense of place, this wine reflects the power, depth and elegance that high-altitude Malbec can achieve when terroir and viticulture work in harmony.
The vineyard is planted on shallow, low-fertility sandy-loam soils with rounded stones, naturally limiting vigor and enhancing concentration. Vines are drip-irrigated and managed with a medium-density canopy to protect the fruit from direct sunlight. The soils are not tilled, preserving native vegetation and complemented by cover crops such as rye. Pruning is carried out using the spur-pruned cordon system.
"Deep, almost blackish red color with attractive violet hues. On the nose, ripe cherry aromas stand out, seamlessly integrated with spicy notes derived from its extended aging in oak. The palate is welcoming and expressive, with full-bodied tannins, great balance and structure. A Malbec with remarkable depth, persistence and excellent aging potential."
