Description

Domaine St. Diego Pura Sangre is a refined Argentine red blend made from Malbec (80%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), aged in French and American oak barrels with a moderate and carefully balanced aging process. The Cabernet Sauvignon contributes structure and long-aging tannins, while the Malbec provides volume, softness, and deep fruit character, resulting in a noble and elegant wine designed for aging and special occasions.

In the glass, the wine shows a bright appearance with a deep red color and ruby highlights, reflecting its vintage and oak aging. The nose presents a pronounced bouquet of ripe fruit and spices, with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and coffee from its barrel aging.

On the palate, the wine has a warm entry, balanced structure, silky texture, and elegant body. The mid-palate shows good balance with fine tannins and subtle oak influence. The finish is long and persistent, reminiscent of spiced fruit, black pepper, and clove, giving the wine a complex and aristocratic character where oak acts as a complement rather than a dominant element.

This is a cellar-worthy wine, capable of aging for more than a decade when stored at a constant temperature between 12°C and 15°C, developing a richer and more complex bouquet over time.
