About Calisto Wines
Calisto Wines is the personal project of renowned Mendoza winemaker Romina Carparelli, who, after more than 20 years crafting wines at iconic wineries such as Pulenta Estate and Vistalba, decided to take a bold step: creating her own wine, with her own voice.
Romina does not aim to make wines for the masses or to chase awards. With Calisto, she seeks to convey an intimate philosophy—authentic, elegant, and emotional wines, made without haste or preset formulas, respecting the character of the terroir and allowing each bottle to tell its own story.
Calisto wines are born in iconic sites of the Uco Valley, such as Altamira and La Consulta, worked with minimal intervention, native yeast fermentations, and carefully measured aging in French oak barrels. These are wines designed to evolve, surprise, and move—beyond trends or scores.
When you drink a Calisto, you are not just enjoying an age-worthy Malbec; you are connecting with the most personal project of a woman who chose to stop making wines for others and begin speaking from her own essence.

Calisto Reserva Malbec 2021 is a wine that reflects the most sophisticated essence of Mendoza Malbec. Crafted from a careful selection of clusters from vineyards in Los Árboles, Uco Valley, this wine combines intensity and elegance in every glass.
"Deep violet-red in color with bright highlights, it offers aromas of black fruits, violets, and mineral notes characteristic of its terroir of origin. On the palate, it is enveloping, with round, sweet tannins and vibrant acidity that brings freshness and balance. The finish is long, persistent, and deeply elegant."
